<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branching filter which branches input light rays and outputs the light rays as a plurality of point optical wave source groups two-dimensionally distributed on an output surface and which has a simple configuration and can be easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The branching filter 100 of a first form is provided with a 1st light branching element 10 and a 2nd light separate element 20. The 1st light branching element has a 1st input port 10a and a 1st output port group 10b and the 1st output port group is composed of a plurality of one-dimensionally arranged 1st output ports (10b-1 to 10 b-n). The 2nd light separate element 20 has a 2nd input port group 20a and an output surface 20s. The 2nd input port group consists of port groups (20a-1 to 20a-n) for inputting each 2nd input light which is assigned so that each 1st output light (14-1 to 14-n) constituting a 1st output light group 14 outputted from the 1st output port is inputted with one-to-one relation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
