<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that can select an appropriate form surely and easily. <P>SOLUTION: In the printing system provided with a printer and a print instruction output device which is connected to the printer and outputs an print instruction, the print instruction output device has a display means capable of displaying various information, acquires form setting information on forms including a form set on the printer in a printable manner and a printable but unset form from the printer, and displays the size and kind of the form printable on the basis of the acquired form setting information as a matrix field 120 in a state permitting operator's selection at least when a print instruction is generated. By the system, the setting information on a form on the printer is provided by the display means of the print instruction output device in a state permitting the operator to glance through, and the operator can easily check the setting state of the form on the printer and can generate a print instruction without placing a wrong order about a form size and a form type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
