PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner for a vehicle configured so that a heater core and an air passage are arranged over an evaporator and a defroster blowout hole is formed over the air passage, capable of eliminating cool defrosting when the operation is in the foot defroster mode etc. SOLUTION: The air-conditioner for the vehicle is composed of a case 48 having an upper wall part 11 and side wall parts 12 and 13 and furnished with a defroster blowout hole 15 in the upper wall part, the evaporator 47 installed in the lower part of the case, the heater core 35 and the air passage 36 detouring around it arranged in line over the evaporator, a door 31 to open and close the air passage, and a defroster door 21 installed rotatably over the above-mentioned door for opening and closing the defroster blowout hole. The door 31 has its end opposite the end confronting the heater core borne by the side wall parts of the case. The air not passing the heater core while the operation is in the defroster mode etc. passes that part of the air passage beside the heater core which is located near the heater core, to generate a comparatively good warmth.
