<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both a display device of a PC and a liquid crystal display device of a printer to check the condition and result of storage, when a file of a memory card is transferred into and stored in the hard disk of the PC by the printer compliant with a USB Mass Storage Class. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer is equipped with a first detection step of detecting an event which is transferred to the host computer from the printer, in accordance with each of instructions provided by means of a prescribed button arranged on an operation panel provided in the printer. The printer is equipped with: a second detection step of detecting an event transferred to the printer from the host computer; and a second storage state display step of reflecting a state during the storage in real time on the liquid crystal display device arranged in the operation panel provided in the printer, depending on the event detected by the second detection step, and of controlling storage state display and updated display of the storage state display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
