PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine for hardly causing magnetic saturation in a cylinder of a stator core without enlarging a body of the rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: A stator 10 is provide with the stator core 13 comprising the cylinder 11 and a plurality of teeth 12 disposed inside the cylinder 11, and a plurality of coils 14 having windings wound to the teeth 12. The cylinder 11 comprises a teeth fixing section 15 for fixing the teeth 12, and extensions 16, 17 extending from both ends of the teeth fixing section 15 in the axial direction. The extensions 16, 17 are formed so as to make an axial length L1 equal to the axial length L2 of a coil end 14a. The stator core 13 is formed by fitting the teeth 12 from a fitting groove 19 formed on the inner circumference of the extension 16 and inserting the teeth 12 into a fixing groove 18 formed on the inner circumference of the teeth fixing section 15.
