PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor environmental pollution in a facility having a possibility that environmental pollution will occur and provide immediate notification when pollution is detected. SOLUTION: The environmental pollution monitoring system 10 installed in a liquid supply facility for supplying fuel comprises a leakage inspection tube 14 which is provided around an underground tank 12 for storing fuel to detect an oil leakage, a transmission section 16 provided in the leakage inspection tube 14, and an alarm device 18 for receiving a leakage detection signal transmitted from the transmission section 16. When a leakage of oil as a pollutant from the liquid supply facility is detected by the leakage inspection tube 14, a pollution detection signal is wirelessly transmitted from the transmission section 16 provided at the top end of the leakage inspection tube 14. When ground pollution caused by oil occurs, the environmental pollution monitoring system 10 immediately detects it and transmits the pollution detection signal to the alarm device 18 placed apart from a polluted site to provide notification of pollution conditions accurately.
