PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-heat device for a mat material capable of feeding the mat material to a pre-heat position and a discharge position appropriately and quickly at the time of preheating the felt type mat material before processing. SOLUTION: A conveyor 2 has a belt 3 and a movable pulley 4 and is provided between a mat material supply position A and the pre-heat position B. The movable pulley moves in a direction, a mat material 1 at the supply position is fed to the pre-heat position and the mat material at the pre-heat position is fed to the discharge position. Then, the movable pulley 4 moves in an opposite direction and returns to its original position. At the same time, the belt is driven in a direction and the mat material at the pre-heat position is kept as it is and the mat material at the discharge position is discharged at the position.
