PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fixing and holding force of the cutter of a cutting tool at the cutter fitting hole of the shank to improve accuracy reliability more. SOLUTION: In the cutting tool whose cutter fitting hole 3 opening on the top of the end face 1a of the shank 1 is inserted with the fixing part 21 of the cutter 2 and depressed and fixed by lock screws 6, the predetermined area including the part corresponding to the lock screws 6 in the circumference in the inner wall face of the cutter fitting hole 3 comprises a plate body 5 integrated in the shank 1 to receive the depressing force of the lock screws 6 to displace toward inside the cutter fitting hole 3. This structure can displace the plate body 5 inside the cutter fitting hole 3 by the depressing force of the lock screws 6, contacts almost all the face with the front face of the fixing part 21 of the cutter 2, moves the cutter 2 forward in the depressing direction, depresses the forward face to the inner face of the cutter fitting hole 3, lets frictional force work to both front and forward side faces of the fixing part 21 of the cutter 2, enhances the fixing and holding force of the cutter 2 to the cutter fitting hole 3, ensures prevention of the cutter 2 from displacing, and improves accuracy reliability of the cutting tool more.
