A process for producing a golf club head in which bonding state of a composite material is improved by equalizing the pressure applied during the time of molding. The process for producing a golf club head comprises a step for forming an head intermediate body by fixing a cover material composed of an uncured fiber-reinforced resin to a metallic shell member having an opening so as to cover the opening, and a step for clamping the head intermediate body between a first mold abutting on the outer surface of the head intermediate body including the cover material and a second mold abutting on the outer surface of the head intermediate body on the side opposite to the cover material and thermally curing the cover material while applying an internal pressure to the head intermediate body through a bladder and applying a pressure between the first and second molds. An elastic body is arranged in a portion of the second mold where it is in contact with the shell member.
