PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which can attain cost reduction and can move and operate a mobile apparatus surely and speedily. SOLUTION: The actuator is provided with a clamp member 5 having first and second clamp sections 5a, 5b which face with each other with a predetermined space, a drive unit 2 having a driving coil 8 which can vibrate and drive the first and second clamp sections 5a, 5b in the direction to be nearer to/away from each other, an operation unit 13 having a movable body 20 which is arranged on a side facing one end part of the clamp member 5 and can move in conjunction with the vibration of the first and second clamp sections 5a, 5b, and an operation unit 13 having an operation body 16 movable together with the movable body 20. The movable body 20 and the operation body 16 on the operation unit 13 side are connected with each other via a spherical joint part 19 and can move mutually in the same direction.
