PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice polishing machine rentable by the hour, in which such a problem is solved that unpolished rice remains in an unpolished rice throwing-in tank, in which a user throws his own unpolished rice, after the rice polishing machine is operated by the hour corresponding to the amount of inserted coins so that the remaining unpolished rice can be treated. SOLUTION: This rice polishing machine rentable by the hour is provided with: a rotary valve (29) for quantitatively discharging the unpolished rice thrown in the unpolished rice throwing-in tank (27); the rice polishing machine for polishing the unpolished rice thrown in the unpolished rice throwing-in tank (27); a polished rice withdrawing port for withdrawing the polished rice polished by the rice polishing machine; a coin inserting port for inserting a coin; and a control panel for setting the cleanliness of the polished rice. A selector (32) having two branched destinations to be selected thereby is arranged on the discharge side of the rotary valve (29) and one of two branched destinations is connected to an unpolished rice returning port (33) for returning the unpolished rice thrown by the user. As a result, when the user pushes a return button, the selector (32) selects the proper one of two branched destinations to discharge the unpolished rice in the unpolished rice throwing-in tank (27) from the unpolished rice returning port (33).
