PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that air in a plant and outside is contaminated with cut dust and/or mist and work environment is worsened due to diffusion of oil mist when a closed chamber is opened to take out a machined workpiece or to transfer a workpiece inside, in the conventional oil mist collector small in size and excellent in economy for collecting mist emitted from a machine, which collector can only separate the oil mist into oil and air and/or mist and recycle the separated oil. SOLUTION: The oil mist circulating method by a plant machine and the mist collector in its proximity employs a constitution comprising the machine and the mist collector connected with each other by a suction hose and a delivery hose and a gas exhausting hose connected to the delivery hose via a three-way selector valve, and comprises the steps of introducing the contaminated air to the mist collector through the suction hose, circulating cleaned air to the machine through the delivery hose and controlling the selector valve to introduce the cleaned air to the gas exhausting hose.
