<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypeptide and/or an enzyme protein capable of efficiently producing a UDP(uridine diphosphate)-L-arabinose, by clarifying a feature, an amino acid sequence, and a cDNA sequence of a UDP-L-arabinose pyrophosphorylase which known as yet, and to provide a DNA which encodes the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polypeptide and/or the enzyme protein have pyrophosphorylase activity, wherein an amino acid sequence thereof comprises an amino acid sequence equal to or substantially equal to a specified sequence. The DNA encodes the polypeptide and/or the enzyme protein, wherein the DNA has homology to a cDNA sequence of a specific sequence and further has biological activity substantially homogeneous to those of a polypeptide and/or an enzyme protein comprising an amino acid sequence of the specified sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
