<p>A dispensing pump for liquid or pasty products comprising a pump chamber (2) and a piston (6) arranged to move telescopically within the pump chamber between rest and active positions, wherein an inlet valve (5) is provided at one end of the pump chamber. This inlet valve may be locked closed with the piston in its rest position.</p>
