A method for producing a radiation image conversion panel (1) containing the steps of: forming a stimulable phosphor layer (3) on a substrate (2) by a vapor deposition method to prepare a phosphor panel (4); hydrating the phosphor panel (4) under a relative humidity of 30 to 60%; and sealing the phosphor panel (4) with a moisture-proof protective film (10,20) to prepare the radiation image conversion panel (1).
