FIELD: foundry; treatment of casting alloy before pouring into casting mold or in casting mold. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in placing the activator into crucible filled with melt; this activator is made in form of two multi-bladed rotors located coaxially at space relation to each other. Rotors are set in opposing rotation at speeds forming speed gradient Gv no less than 1/s. Magnitude of gradient is determined by the following formula: Gv=(omega1r1-omega2r2)/(r1-r2), where omega1, omega2 are rotational speeds of outer and inner rotors; r1 is inner radius of outer rotor blades; r2 is outer radius of inner rotor blades. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of hypereutectic silumins in liquid state due to grinding silicon grains and reduction of saturation of alloy with gas. ^ 1 dwg, 1 tbl
