The unit has electric wires (1) that are partially integrated within a plastic support (2) to form a structural unit for defining repulsive zones (4) in staggered rows. An electrical contact with entire body of an animal or a part external to the structural unit is intervened at the level of the zones. The support presents colors, and is made up of mixture of high density polyethylene and low density polyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a strip for an electric fence.
