A flexible coupling (10) in which a drive side plate (11) and an intermediate plate (13) are connected, by first connection members (14A-14D) having rubber members, so as to be movable in the direction orthogonal to the direction that links pin members (15a, 15b) for installing the first connection members (14A-14D), and in which the intermediate plate (13) and a driven side plate (12) are connected, by connection members (16A-16D) having the same construction as the connection members (14A-14D) and arranged to be orthogonal to the first connection members (14A-14D), so as to be movable in the direction orthogonal to the direction in which the drive side plate (11) and the intermediate plate (13) are movable. Torque on the drive side can be efficiently transmitted by a simple construction to the driven side, and installation of the flexible coupling is facilitated.
