<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment composition for printing ink with improved dispersibility and dispersion stability, excellent in fluidity. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for producing the pigment composition comprising dry crushing of an organic pigment in the presence of a resin wherein the resin comprising the resin for printing ink and a copolymer of anα-olefin with a dicarboxylic acid containing an ethylenic unsaturated group or its modified product, and a 10-50 pts.wt. of the resin for printing ink and 1-30 pts.wt. of the copolymer of theα-olefin with the dicarboxylic acid containing ethylenic unsaturated group or its modified product to 100 pts.wt. of the organic pigment.
