PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic resin for plastisol giving an acrylic sol composition having low viscosity and excellent storage stability, plasticizer retention and mechanical strength after thermal forming process and provide a plastisol composition having low viscosity and excellent storage stability, plasticizer retention and mechanical strength after thermal forming process on an industrially utilizable level. SOLUTION: The acrylic resin for plastisol is produced by emulsifying a mixture containing an acrylic unsaturated monomer, a radical polymerization initiator, an emulsifying agent and an emulsifying assistant in an aqueous medium and carrying out fine suspension polymerization of the product. The emulsifying agent is a nonionic emulsifying agent having at least one unsaturated group and the amount of the emulsifying agent is 0.5-5 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of the acrylic unsaturated monomer.
