PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking system capable of letting an RFID antenna of a carrier read installation place data of an RFID tag securely without burying many RFID tags and recognizing a work area of the carrier from the installation place data. SOLUTION: When the carrier 10 passes through a boundary region 5, the installation place data of the RFID tag 1 provided in the boundary region 5 is read by reading means 11, 12 of the carrier 10 certainly. Consequently, entry of the carrier into a work area 6 on an advance direction side adjacent to the boundary region 5 is detected, and the work area 6 in which the carrier 10 stays currently is displayed in a display means provided in the carrier 10. A worker performing picking can grasp a current position of the carrier 10 from the display means easily.
