<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet recording ink composition that has excellent frequency responsiveness in discharge, discharges ink drops without discharge delay and forms a high-quality image and to provide an inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording ink composition comprising a dispersion medium, a charged particle containing at least a colorant and an electrical charge controlling agent, the electrical charge controlling agent contains an organic acid indium salt.
