<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TS transmitter capable of increasing transmission efficiency without losing packets including time information, and to provide a TS receiver. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the TS transmitter 1 and the TS receiver 2. The TS transmitter 1 includes a TS reading means for reading multiplexed TS; an invalid packet information generation means for generating information on an invalid packet included in the multiplexed TS; a valid packet extraction means for extracting a valid packet from the multiplexed TS, and a transmission packet transmission means for transmitting the invalid packet information and the valid packet to a transmission network 3 by changing into frames of transmission packets. The TS receiver 2 includes a transmission packet reception means for receiving the transmission packet from the transmission network 3; an invalid packet restoration means for restoring the invalid packet, based on the invalid packet information; and a TS restoration means for restoring TS from the valid packet and the restored invalid packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
