PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane foam decreased in aldehydes which have been overlooked until now and remained therein even in a small amount, and to provide a method for producing the polyurethane foam, capable of decreasing the aldehydes, by adsorbing the aldehydes contained in a raw material for the polyurethane foam and represented by a VOC (volatile organic compound). SOLUTION: This polyurethane foam is produced by using the raw material containing the aldehydes, wherein the polyurthane foam is produced from such a raw material as to be prepared by contacting the raw material containing the aldehydes with an adsorbent which can adsorb the aldehydes, then removing the aldehydes contained in the raw material with the aid of the adsorbent, and separating and removing the adsorbent which has adsorbed the aldehydes.
