PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension method enabling a wide method of attaching a hair bundle comprising an arbitrary material composed of human hair or artificial hair to the own hair to be precisely and readily carried out to form a state excellent in durability, and also enabling the load added to the hair or the scalp of a user to be reduced. SOLUTION: When attaching the hair bundle for attachment to the own hair, a wide attaching method by using a straight iron composed of two hot plates at the position, having a high degree of difficulty is facilitated in the extension method for attaching the hair bundle in a proper amount to the own hair. As an example of the solution, the method is carried out by plaiting or binding the self hair in a proper amount with the hair bundle for the attachment, adding the heat by sandwitching the plaited or bound position with the straight iron composed of the two hot plates to form the self hair and the hair bundle for attachment into an instantly fixed state to form kinks in the hair and the hair bundle, and attaching a material for fixing such as a thread-shaped rubber, an adhesive for the hair and a heat shrinkable tube to the attaching position in the extension method for attaching the hair bundle for the attachment to the proper amount of the self hair.
