PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can reduce the amount of incidence of reflected light into a recording head. SOLUTION: Characteristically, in a carriage 4, light shielding members 11 and 31 for absorbing/reflecting ultraviolet reflected light, which are provided between a recording head 5 and an infrared irradiation device 8, have a length equal in dimension to/greater in dimension than the recording width of the recording head 5; and brush parts 13 and 33, which are composed of an elastic material, are provided outside an area corresponding to the recording width of the recording head 5, in such a manner as to come into direct contact with a recording medium P.
