The communication network comprising nodes (105-107) over which a data bank (P2P) is distributed for storage. A first node (106) calls up identification information (IP-ADDRESS + PORT 107, CALL NUMBER) for the identification and/or addressing of the first node (106), for reception of communication with a communications partner (SIP PROVIDER) of an external communication system, using the data bank (P2P). Previously, the identification information (IP-ADDRESS + PORT 107, CALL NUMBER) has been transmitted from a second node (107) to the communications partner (SIP PROVIDER) and registered in the data bank (P2P). An independent claim is included for a corresponding node.
