PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel saving operation evaluating system capable of further enhancing will for improving fuel saving operation for a driver. SOLUTION: This fuel saving operation evaluating system has an engine speed measuring means (an engine rotation sensor 2) for measuring an engine speed of a vehicle 1, an accelerator opening measuring means (an accelerator opening sensor 3) for measuring accelerator opening, a vehicle speed measuring means (a vehicle speed sensor 4) for measuring a vehicle speed, a fuel flow rate measuring means (a fuel meter 5) for measuring a fuel flow rate, a control means (an on-vehicle control unit 7) for arithmetically operating fuel consumption, a travel distance, estimated standard fuel consumption in the future and target fuel consumption of the vehicle 1 from the measured engine speed, the accelerator opening, the vehicle speed and the fuel flow rate, and a display means 8 for displaying an item on its arithmetic operation result and driving evaluation. The control means 7 is constituted so as to store data on travel, fuel consumption, the travel distance, the estimated standard fuel consumption and the target fuel consumption determined by an arithmetic operation by collectively arranging these in a predetermined quantity in time series.
