PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new spiro-structured compound and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An imidazolium compound containing a spiro structure expressed by formula (1), and its simple manufacturing method which uses a maleic acid diester and a 2-substituted-1-alkyl-1H imodazol as starting substances, are provided.
