PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone device which makes a registration work between a master unit and a slave unit easy, and which can easily realize linking of the slave unit to the master unit wirelessly connectable to the slave unit in a plurality of the registered master units. SOLUTION: The controller 19 of the master unit 1 controls a channel control unit 10 for transmitting information through a telephone line 6 and transfers the slave unit information of the slave unit 3 registered to a ROM 16 as a short message to the master unit 2 through an SMS center device 5. The master unit 2 registers the slave unit information of the slave unit 3 included in a received short message to the ROM 16, and transmits the own master unit information as a short message to the master unit 1 through the SMS center device 5. The master unit 1 transmits through radio the received master unit information of the master unit 2 to the slave unit 3 through an RF circuit 11, and registers the received master unit information of the master unit 2 to a ROM 26.
