PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device for a mobile unit that reduces a network load and communication traffic and can perform the prediction processing of the arrival direction of a radio wave even if communication with a network is not connected in real time. SOLUTION: The communication device for the mobile unit having a reception means for receiving a prescribed radio wave for controlling the directivity of an antenna comprises a storage means for relating current position information to the arrival direction of the prescribed radio wave actually measured at a position for storage; an estimation means for estimating the arrival direction of the prescribed radio wave at a travel destination by comparing a current position and the travel information of the mobile unit with information stored in the storage means; and a control means for controlling the directivity of the antenna to the arrival direction of the prescribed radio wave estimated by the estimation means. Further, the communication device for the mobile unit preferably has an information transmission means for transmitting information stored in the storage means to a prescribed external device, and/or an information acquisition means for acquiring supplementary information for adding and correcting information stored in the storage means from the prescribed external device.
