Method for fitting windscreen wiper blade to wiper arm with a connecting piece clipped onto a reinforcing insert rib in the wiper blade

A simple method for fitting a windscreen wiper blade onto a wiper arm has a one piece connector (7) with a U-shaped cross section clipped over the blade and with the free ends of the connector clipped onto lateral tags (5) as part of the metal reinforcing insert strip (3) inside the blade. The tags locate in cut outs (6) in the connector for a secure fitting. The wiper blade (8) has a pivot connection into the connector which made simply by folding strip metal and/or by thickness reduction of the metal to provide a spring grip.
