PRESSURE-CONTACTING ELECTRICAL TERMINAL

A pressure-contacting electrical terminal includes a contact member having an outer pressure-contacting end portion for engaging an electrical device and an enlarged inner end portion. A sleeve assembly is formed by at least two sleeves which are telescoped one inside the other and defining a through hole having at least one open end through which the outer pressure­ contacting end portion of the contact member projects. A restricted stop is provided at the open end of the sleeve for abutting the enlarged inner end portion of the contact member to define an outer limit position of the outer pressure-contacting end portion. A biasing member is disposed in the through hole of the two telescoped sleeves to resiliently bias the contact member toward an electrical device.
