<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing image deterioration due to a burr of a cleaning blade and cleaning unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming means, a transfer means, a medium conveying means of conveying a medium to the position where an image is transferred, and a fixing means of fixing a developer on the medium. Further, the image forming apparatus is equipped with a contact body which rotates, an abutting member which abuts against the surface of the contact body, a support member which supports the abutting member, a potential measuring means of measuring the surface potential of the support member, a control means of controlling the output of the potential measuring means to a constant value, and a voltage supply means of supplying a voltage to the support member with a signal inputted to the control means. The shape of the abutting member which abuts against the contact member is controlled to be a fixed shape and the pressing force of the abutting member is controlled to be constant regardless of change in contact body surface shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
