PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium mounting device for interrupting a small recording medium from erroneously being inserted in an abnormal direction. SOLUTION: When a front surface of a main shutter section 101 arranged on an inserting port 111 is pressed by a cartridge 2 with the abnormal direction for facing a side surface 2B having no connector to the inserting direction (Y2), pressure f1 in the Y1 direction caused by the side surface 2B of the cartridge 2 and frictional force f2 for operating between the main shutter section 101 and a sub-shutter section 102A, are exerted on the main shutter section 101. Since the frictional force f2 is exerted as a rotational load for interrupting that the main shutter section 101 is set to the opened posture, the small disk in the abnormal direction is prevented from being inserted to the inserting port 111.
