PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve use guide service for a person having impaired vision on an escalator. SOLUTION: A controller 5 makes a control in such a way that destination guide is broadcasted by a destination guide broadcasting machine 3 when a landing place passenger detector (sensor) 4 does not detect a passenger, and destination guide broadcasting by the destination guide broadcasting machine 3 and attention broadcasting by an attention broadcasting machine 2 are alternately performed for a predetermined period of time when the landing place passenger detector 4 detects a passenger. Consequently, useless attention broadcasting is reduced when there is no passenger on the escalator 1, and the destination guide broadcasting for the person having impaired vision is increased to improve service for guide broadcasting for the person having impaired vision.
