<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that hydrogen peroxide produced by generation of crossover of gas between a cathode and an anode through a polymer electrolyte film is radicalized to decompose the polymer electrolyte film. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the polymer electrolyte fuel cell equipped with a hydrogen-ion conductive polymer electrolyte film 11, a pair of an anode and a cathode catalyst layers 13, 14 arranged so as to pinch the polymer electrolyte film 11, and a pair of an anode and a cathode gas diffusion layers 16, 17 arranged so as to pinch the pair of catalyst layers, comprises a colloid solution adjustment process for adjusting colloid solution in which catalyst fine particles for promoting decomposition reaction of peroxide are colloidally dispersed, and a peroxide decomposition layer forming process for forming a peroxide decomposition layer 12 between the anode gas diffusion layer 17 and the cathode gas diffusion layer 16 with the use of the colloid solution adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
