HIGH DENSITY OPTICAL COMB FILTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high density optical comb filter in which a compact and high density comb type filter is simply manufactured and to provide a method of manufacturing the high density optical comb filter. SOLUTION: Subgratings (sub FGB30) are arranged between cores 14 of a photosensitive optical fiber at a predetermined space. A super lattice structure fiber grating (SSFBG) is formed and two SSFBG are formed by arranging a sub FBG32 having Bragg wavelengthλ2between the sub FBG30 having Bragg wavelengthλ1. The reflection peak of the comb reflection characteristic is made high density with the interleave type super lattice structure fiber grating (ISSFBG). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
