ATHLETE'S FOOT TREATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an athlete's foot treating apparatus capable of reducing pain of a patient by heating and sterilizing trichophytosis bacteria more directly compared to a conventional heating method.

SOLUTION: The athlete's foot treating apparatus is equipped with an electromagnetic wave oscillator 1 for oscillating a gigahertz band electromagnetic wave such as a millimeter wave for instance, and an emitting part 3a for emitting the gigahertz band electromagnetic wave. The Trichophytosis bacteria in the horny layer and the Trichophytosis bacteria inside and on the back side of the nail are heat sterilized by directing the emitting part toward the lesion and irradiating it with the gigahertz band electromagnetic wave. As needed, a pulsing means for pulsing the gigahertz band electromagnetic wave continuously emitted from the electromagnetic wave oscillator can be provided. The trichophytosis bacteria can be heat sterilized by pulse-irradiating the lesion with the pulsed gigahertz band electromagnetic wave.
