PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM diversity receiver capable of obtaining a composite signal with higher quality in comparison with that of single reception even when the receiver adopts diversity reception wherein C/N variations are great. SOLUTION: FFT is applied to signals received by antennas 11<SB>1</SB>to 11<SB>N</SB>and thereafter C/N arithmetic sections 14<SB>1</SB>to 14<SB>N</SB>calculate the C/N of each symbol, and C/N tables 16<SB>1</SB>to 16<SB>N</SB>determine weight valuesσ<SB>1</SB>toσ<SB>N</SB>. The weight valuesσ<SB>1</SB>toσ<SB>N</SB>are multiplied with the signals X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>N</SB>and transmission path responses H<SB>1</SB>to H<SB>N</SB>and MRC composition is carried out by weighted signalsσ<SB>1</SB>X<SB>1</SB>toσ<SB>N</SB>X<SB>N</SB>and transmission path responsesσ<SB>1</SB>H<SB>1</SB>toσ<SB>N</SB>H<SB>N</SB>.
