PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which information management can be more improved by management, such as data output ability/disability or encryption. SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus which stores image data read by a reading unit 10 on an HDD 14 and transmits the stored image data through a network to output equipment connected on the network, in the case of storage onto the HDD 14, information at the time of inputting is embedded in the image data from the reading unit 10, permission of transmission to a transmission destination that is the output equipment, is controlled based on the information at the time of inputting embedded in the image data, and control to encrypt and transmit image data to be transmitted to the transmission destination is performed based on the information at the time of inputting embedded in the image data.
