PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dryer having a discharge nozzle with a simple constitution reducing the loss of air volume, providing a superior blow effect, powerful and comfortable air by straightening the air from a fan. SOLUTION: The discharge nozzle 16 is provided at the tip of a hair dryer body 11 incorporating a heat source 18, the fan 20a and a motor 19 driving the fan 20a and is further provided with a straightening vane 16 inside the discharge nozzle to straighten the air passing through a hot air generating chamber 17. The straightening vane 16a of the discharge nozzle 16 is disposed coaxially with the air blowing direction and has a shape of twisting the air from the hot air generating chamber 17. The straightening vane 16a is formed into such a shape as to twist the air from the hot air generating chamber 17 in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the fan 20a.
