PURPOSE:To obtain the tooth element which are made high in their intermeshing protrusion parts and is made as thin as possible in leg part thickness without any undue flow of materials by gathering and contacting the first protrusion molding die corresponding portions of the parallel two protruding flight parts in the lengthwise direction on the front and back surface of metal flat wire materials then molding the first and second protrusions. CONSTITUTION:The protruding flights 16-19 which are mutually parallel in the lengthwise direction on the front and back surface of a metal flat wire material 15 corresponding to the positions of molding the first protrusion 5 for tooth element are gathered by a press toward the centerline 0-0, whrerby the first protrusion molded parts 20, 21 are formed. The spacing portions of these are made leaving parts 30-33 with the protruding flights 16-19 being remained intact in their positions, which become the molding positions for the second protrusions 6, 7 of intermeshing head parts. When this is pressed, the material amount (thickness) of the molded parts 20, 29 and leaving parts 30, 31, 51, 52 is made the main material. At the same time, the excess material amount of the time of forming the inner parts 10 and outside circumferential parts 11-13 thinner than flat parts 53, 54 flows readily into recesses 34-49 by being pressed by the convex die parts 42-50 of metal dies 40, 41, thus protrusions 5-7 are molded by the sufficient material amount. |
