Systems and methods are disclosed for an umbrella undercanopy fastening system (30) including a plurality of reclosable fasteners (34). One embodiment of the present invention relates to a fastening system (30) comprising a first (50) and second (52) member. The first member (50) has a first portion (58) of a fastening device. The second member (52) has a second portion (56) of the fastening device adapted to engage the first portion (58) of the fastening device in a reclosable manner. The reclosable fasteners (34) may be used for securing a lighting system to an undercanopy (18) of an umbrella (10).
