PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device in which an image-taking element can be mounted on a more precise position and the mounted position varies less across the age. SOLUTION: In a digital camera for serving as the optical device, the image-taking element 8 is fixedly mounted on an image-taking element supporting plate 23 and on a hard electric board 24 at a position posterior to a front frame 20 for supporting a mirror unit, a shutter unit or the like. A FPC 25 used for connecting an electric circuit and the image-taking element 8 is provided in the electric board 24. More specifically, a lead 8a of the image-taking element 8 is soldered to the FPC 25 used for the connection via an electrically conductive pattern and the FPC 25 is soldered to the electric board 24. Since the FPC junction is supported to the electric board 24 with a gap G1 in relation to the electric board 24, displacement (a flange back L) of the image-taking element due to thermal deformation of the electric board 24 due to soldering, shrinkage in cooling of the solder or a secular change of the electric board 24 can be prevented.
