The invention relates to the devices for controlling the functioning of blowers equipped with DC motors and used in the cars of rail transport. The purpose of the invention is to provide the reduction of heat power that is produced by the adapter of armature current, for starting current limitation, for engine protection in case of shaft seizure and abruption of excitation winding. The set purpose is reached by the following: the device contains a DC motor (1), which armature's (2-2) one pole is connected to the excitation winding outlet (1-1), to contact (5) and to cathode of the reverse diode (2-1) that are connected via contactor (6) to the positive voltage distribution bus. The second pole of the respective armature (1) is connected to the transistor collector (2-2), to the diode anode (2-1) and to the power contact (3-1) of contactor (3). The second excitation winding outlet (1-1) is connected to the resistor (4) and to the break-type contact (3-2). Via the current sensor (2-3) an emitter of transistor (2-2) is connected to the resistor (4), to contacts (3-1, 3-2) and to the contactor winding lead (3), that are all, in their turn, connected to the negative voltage distribution bus. The second pole of contact (5) and contactor lead (3) are connected to the device (2).
