PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition and a polyester film which maintain an excellent color even after exposed to heat and their manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The composition is an aromatic polyester which is obtained by using an antimony compound or a germanium compound as a polymerization catalyst, contains 0.1-10 wt. ppm of a specific chromatic agent having a maximum absorption wavelength of 540-600 nm in a chloroform solution and has a color a* value of -9-0 and a color b* value of -2-9, after heat-treated at 140°C for 2 hours.
