<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal reversible recording medium which enables attainment of sufficient image erasability and a high contrast even when a temperature width for erasure is enlarged and an environmental temperature changes and attainment of a sufficient image density even when it is stored in the presence of a basic substance, wherein an erasure energy impression part develops no color after erasure energy is impressed on a reversible thermal recording medium even after passing of several months or more after the medium is manufactured and which facilitates printing on the reversible thermal recording medium, a manufacturing method of the thermal reversible recording medium, a card, a disk cartridge, a disk, a tape cassette and a label, and an image processing method for formation and erasure of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording medium has a thermosensitive layer of which the transparency changes reversibly dependently on temperature and which is constituted mainly of a resin matrix and an organic low-molecular substance. The resin matrix has a structure wherein a resin having a hydroxyl is crosslinked by a crosslinking material containing a chain isocyanate compound.
