<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that unauthorized entry caused by a person accompanied by another person and access to a computer by a person who comes in not through a door cannot be prevented in a usual entry-and-exit management system, and a usual entry-and-exit management system is not sufficiently linked with a network system; to provide a power source control system for an electronic device, the system remotely controlling on/off of a power source of a computer connected to a network by authenticating a person when he or she comes in and comes out, and improving conveniences to users and security. <P>SOLUTION: In the power source control system for an electronic device, when an user is authenticated with authentication data inputted from a door opening/closing device 2; a management server 3 releases the lock of the door of an entry-and-exit gate 1 through the door opening-and-closing device 2, turns on the power source of a device to be used corresponding to an user ID by referring to a device management DB 36 when the user comes in, and turns off the power source when the user comes out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
