The system has a bar code or similar specimen from reflecting and non-reflecting surfaces (3) attached below a vehicle base. A scanning system fastened at rails is recognized through the surfaces. The specimen consists of three parallel barcode-paths (1, 2) for permitting the transformation of information. An infrared-light emitting diode is used as transmitter and a photodiode is used as receiver in the scanning system.
